New neighbors, down payments + grandfathers -- Sometimes I start one of these pieces and I have a general sense of where it will land. But this one? Not a clue. I only know there’s something in my world I must name and express so I can feel more myself. Less numb. More alive.
We see all around us evidence of folks who default to the black and white of theology, situations, issues and people. It is always good to reflect on the mix (the gray) of how life (white) and death (black) show up in our lives. We find comfort in the words that create a box, a feeling around our experience. The growth is often found in exploring or being curious about the synergy of these co-existing realities.
Liminal space is where deep growth happens. We are so fortunate to experience a window into your story and your family's presence in Salem. Your writing is deeply humane, sensitized and such voices need to be heard in such a time as this. May the weavings of Love continue to bless the space within you and beyond you. With gratitude, Sharon
