Thank you, Jenny, for your potent and deep sharing. Despite the outcome of the election Kamala Harris is my leader. I am watching her, her dignity, her love for people, her commitment to an arduous journey ahead. As an old geezer my quiet grit has kicked in for this next phase of electing a total baffoon criminal for President of the USA. ❤️

I cannot nor will I ever consider our Pres-elect a leader. He’s simply who he is in a role he doesn’t deserve. In a few years, we’ll have much, much clean-up to do. For now, we need to shift into second gear and get to work.

Anger, frustration, disgust, wondering how to survive the next four years of hell. That's what I am feeling.

Truth about our country has been revealed. It’s a hard truth. It’s good to know the truth. I think I have been in La-La Land. I am reminded how Jesus, Paul, and disciples lived under Empire.

I always appreciate the balance between pausing and moving forward that you bring. I strongly believe that folks must tend to both. There is a temptation to yell all hands-on deck without pausing to acknowledge and tend the grief. We will sustain the resistance better if we don't push down the emotional response to this unexpected election outcome. Having said that, it also doesn't serve to wallow in the anxiety either. Our grief is not a one and done. Every time we encounter the fall-out from his harsh policies, we will grieve the loss of compassion and wisdom that we should find in a President. It's hard to imagine right now, but I want to hope that he will not follow through on all the threats/polices that he mentioned. As we move forward, I hope folks find their power that connects them to the greater resistance.

I am not sorry for voting for the guy who is not killing the innocent unborn babies, the man who, though convicted of a felony is still standing for the United States and what it was founded upon. The man who has given up millions of his own money because he wants to make the country better for people like me who are struggling to make ends meet and have been fighting to survive in the last few years. He isn’t perfect, but I am not either. I’m an older American who has watched my country grow into a place where we hate because of our political beliefs and we have no respect for others’ views. I’ve watched a man who has survived Two, not one but TWO assassination attempts and he still wants to make a difference. I don’t want a Politician, I just want a President who will do the right things to make the Country strong and that’s what I believe we are going to have again.

He's had many years to show us he can do the right thing on behalf of others and he has rarely chosen to do so. He's skilled at telling a story people might want to believe about our country. But it's grounded in a deep sense of racism, misogyny, and patriarchy. I've spent the last two days hearing from many people of populations he has directly said he will harm. I cannot believe more than half the country is okay with this. I feel so deeply hurt as a woman in the kind of hate culture he cultivates. I want to extend kindness and understanding your way. It's very difficult.
