What is The Thread?

The Thread is a weekly email newsletter from Jenny Smith where we learn to trust the stories longing to be untangled. The ones wrapped in fear, grief, and uncertainty. We are people who show up to our lives, mess and all. We pull the threads, ask new questions, challenge old assumptions, and open our hands to new possibilities.

We get one chance to live this life. We don’t want to miss it. We want to love honestly. Deeply. Authentically.

Our first post describes it well. Welcome to The Thread.

What readers are saying

“Reading The Thread is like experiencing a soft space to rest my heart during the day- like sitting on a great, big feather pillow. I appreciate Jenny’s insight and her ability to share her feelings and embrace her truth with warmth and grace. Reading her writing helps me to get in touch with my truth in a tender and loving way. I’m so grateful for this space to breathe.” - Lara

“What I love about the thread is having a friend remind me that I’m not alone in my chaos, that life is hard, and that we can do it if we allow space for ourselves to feel and be messy in our imperfections. I love the gentle virtual embrace, moment of reflection, and reminder to feel, approach, and not know.” - Rachel

“Jenny is an inspiration to me. Her writing about our day-to-day lives is truly exquisite — and is so fluid and spot-on. I am excited about how The Thread is showcasing and will showcase Jenny’s abundant gifts, and I look forward to her always-restorative posts as we all push through these challenging times that are ahead of us in our personal and collective lives.” - Caroline

“I appreciate Jenny’s honesty and willingness to share her real life experiences. It’s clear she’s doing so after having processed in other ways, which makes The Thread feel like a conversation I’m being invited into. Plus, it helps me understand friends and family who have been through similar circumstances. Like any good newsletter, she tells her story in a way that helps me examine my own stories.” - Anne
