the birds are singing
their song of spring today
but it sounds like a taunt
as it echoes in my ears
will this time of year
always feel like death now?
he died and
time stood still
alaska snow fell
washington flowers
broke the surface
those damn birds
remind me he’s still gone
while life has the audacity
to demand we still live
I’d love to see you!
